Andrej Mitevski Awarded the Vladimir Georgievski Award 2021

The Tranzen Association awarded Andrej "Emerging Form: Imperfect Space 4" with their annual award created in honor of the renown Macedonian artist Vladimir Georgievski. The exhibition was held in Europe House - Strumica.

The painter Nikola Pijanmanov elaborated on the award with the following statement: "This year [2021] the sculptor Andrej Mitevski has been given the award for his sculpture Emerging Form. Andrej Mitevski's artwork is a continuous struggle with the raw and hard material which is transformed into something new, fragile and alive. The stone forms tremble before the marble, the rock, the travertine, as if in a spasm, ready to break free from them. From the most solid comes the softest. A leaf, a palm, a feather, ivy, an infinite stalk... The clash between the soft and the harsh in his art is reminiscent of Lao Tzu's verse: The soft overcomes the hard, the gentle overcomes the rigid."
